Switchfoot at The Orange Peel

The Orange Peel was packed.

This night Switchfoot were the opening band and the headlining band so they played the entire Hello Hurricane album at the beginning.

That was a first for me. To hear an entire album played live. But it was exactly what I was hoping for.

And even though Hello Hurricane has only been out a month, it sounded like the most of the audience knew every song.

Once they finished being the opening band for themselves, they then played 10 more favorites – Meant to Live, Stars, Dare You to Move, The Shadow Proves the Sunshine, Awakening, 24, Company Car, Learning to Breathe, This is Your Life, and Oh! Gravity.

Jon Foreman was very intimate with the crowd as usual – venturing out into the crowd several times, opening up the show entering from the back, climbing on to the bar on the side as seen in the picture below…

So, what did I walk away with last night after the show?

A little more Hope and Humility.

That’s a good show in my opinion.
