bleach is alive

Bleach is in the studio right now recording an EP with Mark Townsend. I found this out yesterday, and this is serious news for me. I began to love music because of bleach. I had always liked music, but bleach got me to LOVE it. Their music grabbed me and never let go. I walk by their posters in my hallway every day. One poster says – The Farewell Tour – Final Show August 29, 2004.

Imagine your favorite band retiring. That band. The one that made you fall in love with music. You cry. You stop listening to music altogether for a while. You search for another band to fill the void. The void cannot be filled. There is only one band that can fill it. There is only one bleach. Six long years go by. You’ve got to move on… So you do.

But now imagine hearing this week that they’re back (just temporarily as far as I know, but still) – they’re back. They’re recording some stuff. And they’re doing a couple shows!!!

It’s awesomeness. Just plain awesomeness…
