Family Night

Every Friday night we try to do something fun together as a family.

We try to do that every night, but homework isn’t very fun for the kids.

And knowing that you have to go to work the next day isn’t very fun either.

So, Friday is the day we have chosen for Fun Night.

Tonight we watched Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.

I haven’t read the book, and honestly was thinking it was going to be a mediocre movie or worse based on the previews I saw a while back.

This was before I knew that Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Will Forte, and Mr. T were the voices of some of the main characters.

I didn’t know about those guys being in this movie until tonight.

That would have made a difference had I known because I love those guys. A lot.

But anyway…

We didn’t know.

But we thought the kids would like it.

And they did.

And Melanie and I laughed our butts off.

At one point near the end of the movie I was laughing so hard I was crying.

This is rare.

This movie just might be my favorite animated movie ever.

I’m not kidding.

The story was great, the visuals were great, and the voice acting was incredible.

It was the perfect movie for Friday Family Fun Night.

Just all-around great, clean fun.

Go get it for your family.

You won’t regret it.
