New York – Brooklyn
Lisa and Paul live in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is really cool because it doesn’t feel like a huge city,
but it is the largest of the of the five boroughs in population. Over 2.5 million people live in Brooklyn.
Almost all of the buildings are no more than 4 stories tall so you can actually see the sky.
And Brooklyn has a bigger park than Central Park.
Melanie and I felt right at home with Lisa and Paul.
Part of our hearts were forever captured by this place.
These photos are a very small glimpse of this place and our time spent chilling here.
Central Headquarters.
Many a battle were fought here at Fort Greene.
The Brownstones.
Ran into Heathcliff and Theo Huxtable at the Farmer’s Market.
F.D.N.Y.
Always on duty.
Christmas Graffiti.
The view from the barbershop bench next to Not Ray’s Pizza
There are a million “Original Famous” Ray’s Pizza places in New York.
This is Not Ray’s Pizza.
I’ve never had “famous” Ray’s, but Not Ray’s was a slice of heaven.
Satisfied Eaters
More Food.
They gave us this entire room to party in.
Lamb sausage, egg, hot fries, hummus.
Yummus.
Melanie and Lisa.
Beautiful.
Paul and Tim.
Beardiful.
This guy was slaying it on the accordion.
Everyone in the place was slain by him.
Cool Flea Market inside a really old bank.
Der Schwarze Kolner means The Black Man from Cologne (Germany).
We hung out here and played Apples to Apples and drank a few good German beers.
Such as this Christmas Beer
And these tasty beverages.
We thought about participating in the Reindeer Decorating Contest.
But my Reindeer in Flannel idea was already taken.
The Brooklyn Academy of Music.
All sorts of cool things go on here.
Found a free piece of furniture on the street for Lisa and Paul’s place.
The good man even let us borrow his dolly.
Lion-o also lives in Lisa and Paul’s apartment complex.
So, they are safe from Mumm-ra and Slythe.
Paul and I trucked this baby up two flights of stairs.
Worth it.

We try to get to NYC once or twice a year. We have some friends in Brooklyn too. Brooklyn is awesome. One of my favorite places on earth. So tempted to move there.
Yeah, Marco. I can totally see myself living there too. Never a dull moment.
Great photo journalism!
Send me and the boys next time, or better yet, take us with you!
