Who will save us from El Guapo?

This inspirational speech from Lucky Day in 3 Amigos is funny.

What isn’t funny is when pastors preach sermons the same way.

The Bible isn’t a story about how you can be like David and slay your Goliaths…

Or how you can dare to be a Daniel and pray in front of the pagans at the restaurant.

The Bible isn’t mainly about you or about these “heroes” to imitate. It’s about Jesus Christ. And it’s not about Jesus just being a better hero to imitate either. It’s about Him being Lord and Savior – our only hope. He said so Himself.

Read Luke 24:25 to the end of the chapter. – And He said to them, ” O foolish ones, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Was it not necessary that the Christ should suffer these things and enter into his glory?” And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself…

All of history centers around Jesus. Only He can defeat our El Guapos.
