The End of Fear – by Dad
I found some poems my Dad wrote a couple years ago – during his battle with cancer.
Today is the first day I had ever read them.
On the day of my Dad’s viewing and visitation…
He is still teaching and comforting me.
THE END OF FEAR – T.D. Clark 2007
Almighty God, give us hope for tomorrow.
Your love casts out all our fears.
You only ask that we follow Your leading
And trust You with “I’m ready” ears.
We do not ask to be untouched by trials
Living at ease without ever a struggle.
We humbly ask that You show Your will clearly
And give Your direction so our faith can follow.
You are almighty in Your grace and power.
Bless those who stand firm in faith.
Please give protection from evil destruction
And show Yourself strong in its place.
You love the sinner through Your matchless grace,
Though you cannot look upon sin.
You looked on me in my sinful estate
And gave Your dear Son – me to win.
No fear can stand when we see Your love’s greatness.
Perfect love casts out our fear.
In spite of weaknesses, You love us dearly.
In spite of failures, You’re near.
Let me be like You, to love the unloved
And the needy and poor and alone,
Loving your children as you have loved me,
Then with no fear, those enemies, my own.
Thank You, dear Father, for Your love around me.
Thank You, dear Jesus, for grace.
Thank You, dear Spirit, for Your work within me.
Thank You, dear Lord, for Your peace.
