I wonder what Dad’s been up to
One day in the presence of God is better than one thousand anywhere else – Psalm 84:10.
So, do the math.
If your Dad is in heaven for one year,
How many years is that better than anywhere else?
One
Thousand
Years.
One thousand years of the best days of life imaginable.
Days even better than the day I jumped over the Michigan sun.
This is what my Dad has experienced during our last year without him.
I can’t help but smile as I think of it.

One year today! I’m so happy for him. I can see him running and clicking his heels in pure joy! I find my tears lately are tears of joy for him and wonderful expectation of being with him forever. I love you, Sweetheart.
Dude, this post is strikingly poignant and beautiful. The picture is perfect. It gives me that “I can fly” feeling I expect to be feeling a lot in heaven. You have given me reason to rejoice. I’m posting this to my profile.
I think about your dad often and miss him very much. I can’t imagine all the sweet people he’s gotten to talk to for hours and hours. I’m looking forward to chatting with him again some day and hopefully reading some of his poetry.
I don’t know anything about your dad except from what you’ve posted, but i for sure couldn’t help but smile reading and thinking about this.
