Polaris and The Adventures of Pete and Pete

I only caught a couple episodes of this show on Nickelodeon from back when I was a kid. I should probably check it out again. But a few years ago my friend, Steve, gave me a copy of the music that was used for the show. The band is Polaris. I really like the entire album, but this one song always stood out above the rest to me. It’s a song where the music fits the lyrics perfectly. It reminds me that I can’t get away from God even if I want to, and that is actually a good thing.
“Everywhere”
I put your photograph away,
I can’t look at you today,
I put your letters upstairs,
But it’s no good because you’re everywhere.
I can try to hide,
But why waste my time,
You left your glasses behind,
Somebody said you were doin’ fine,
I play a game that you’re not there,
But it’s no good because you’re everywhere.
I can try to hide,
But why waste my time,
Sensurround of you,
Everything I do
Says you’re everywhere, everywhere.
I hear a song that you sang,
Hits my head like a circus train,
I cried out and you were there,
You were there because you’re everywhere.
I can try to hide,
But why waste my time,
Sensurround of you,
Everything I do…
I can try to hide,
But why waste my time,
Sensurround in me,
Everything I see
Says you’re everywhere, everywhere.
Everywhere, everywhere.
